Michelin® Pilot® Sport Cup tires are competition-oriented summer tires designed specifically for serious performance enthusiasts.
Utilizing our extensive motorsports experience, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires feature a racing-bred tread compound optimized for on-track performance. They are designed to deliver extreme cornering power, leading to fast and consistent lap times, even through repeated heat cycles. They are also DOT (Department of Transportation)-approved for street use.

Tire Construction
- Race-inspired sticky tread compound optimized to work extremely well in dry and wet conditions
- An asymmetric, rigid tread design that employs a semi slick outer shoulder and a very stable inner shoulder design, which allows the use of softer compounds
- A lightweight, heat-stable rayon casing
- A tapered and stabilized shoulder block region
- BAZ Technology™ (spiral-wrapped nylon Banded At Zero degrees to the tire’s rotation)
- Racing-inspired, high-tensile steel cords and a polyamide belt package that help provide tremendous support for the rigid tread and crown region
- Textile sidewall inserts, which are combined with a special high-hysteresis bead compound for crisp, sharp steering with excellent feedback
- A computer-optimized equilibrium casing shape
