The Discoverer A/T3™ by Cooper Tires® utilizes a balanced combination of technology, compounding and design to produce a tire that will perform well in nearly all types of terrains. The tread compound enhances wet traction and rolling resistance, while the aggressive tread design significantly improves off-road traction without sacrificing highway performance. All traction...all terrain..all the time!

  • Modern, Aggressive5-Rib All-Terrain Design: The aggressive all-terrain design is engineered to provide outstanding performance in both on-road and off-road driving applications. The A/T3™ P-Metric tread pattern exploits a combination of features specifically suited to provide solid all-terrain performance, superior all-season traction, excellent stability, confident handling and reliable tread wear.
  • The Discoverer AT3 features a silica based tread compound: This compound is formulated with a chemically coupled silica and carbon black mixture that provides excellent wet traction and handling on the highway, while also improving cut and chip resistance in more harsh rocky and gravel terrain. The silica enriched tread compound has lower rolling resistance than traditional full carbon black tread compounds.
  • Dual Draft Tread Element Walls: The dual draft angles on the tread element walls aid in reducing stone retention, stone drilling and assist in cut and chip resistance.

Discoverer A/T3™ P-Metric comes with a Standard Limited Warranty 55,000 Mile Tread-Wear Protection.

This is a great tire. These were recommended when I told them I was looking at Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor as well as the BFGoodrich A/T KO's which several friends recommended. Overall I am very satisfied with this tire even though I haven't put alot of miles on them yet. I did an alignment on my truck when I put the tires on as well. I've had the tires in the rain, snow, ice, and mud and have not had any problems whatsoever. Additionally they are very quiet and produce no rumble like I was getting from the last set of tires on the truck. I'm happy with them and recommended them to several friends looking for new tires. If you guys are interested check out the Cooper website and take a look at the videos. I recommend them and am hard on reviewing anything and am completely satisfied. After 10,000 miles they show no wear whatsoever. I do rotate and balance my tires every 10,000 miles and they were still good on balancing.

I put these tires on my rav 4 about 3 weeks ago. And so far everything I've thrown at them they have handled. Mostly highway miles but lots of gravel miles so far. They are very quiet in comparison to my old highway tires and corners are much tighter feeling. They did great in the mud I didn't even have a problem. They appear to have not worn at all in 3000 miles.

Ordered new wheels, tires and TPMS sensors from TREADDEPOT. Went up one size from the stock 17" tires. The Cooper Discoverer AT3's ride even better than expected and are very quiet for an all terrain style tire. I have only driven about 1000 miles on them so far so I cannot comment on wear and potential mileage for these tires but they do come with a 55,000 mile warranty for tread wear. Many of the all terrain style tires I looked at did not come with much of a tread wear warranty if any at all. The tires ride very good and handle very well. I am sure they will do well in the snowy conditions this next winter as I have used Cooper Discoverer all terrain tires on my pick up in years past and they always performed superbly in the snow and mud while delivering a quiet comfortable on road ride. If these wear as well as the other Cooper tires I have used in the past, then I will definitely purchase these again in the future.

I love this tire for may 4x4's. They have minimal road noise. I run a LT305 series on a 16 inch rim do there is plenty of tire on the ground. I have also had a set of these on a Toyota Tacoma, so they are an all around great tire.

I spent about 3 months researching back and forth about which AllTerrain tires I wanted to put on my truck. My favorites are BFGs but I didn't want to spend that kind of money this go-round. These Coopers were quite pleasantly surprising when they came in. I loved how aggressive they looked and the tread depth was awesome. Once on the truck my truck felt so much better and grips great in flatter mud. I love them so far.

I really like my new tires! They look good, ride very good and make very little road noise. I ride with the top off my Jeep most of the time and the low tire noise is very nice. The tread is deeper than I expected and would be good for light off road driving. I was skeptical about buying online but Treaddepot.com shipped very fast and I had the tires mounted and balanced at a local store for about $70 with free life time balance and rotation.

Always had the understanding that BF Goodrich was the king of the hill with AT tires. Well everyone who says this needs to give these bad boys a drive. They have tackled everything I have asked them to- heavy rain, deep snow, gravel and dirt mountain roads flawlessly. And this comes from a former BFG ATKO owner. There's a new king of the hill. I'll never buy another tire. Cooper ROCKS!

These tires are good looking and wicked quiet. A huge improvement in ride quality over stock tires. I didn't even need tires yet (Stock Goodyears had 11K on them) but was tired of the constant shimmy in my steering wheel even after 4 times balancing them. Through some research and great reviews I went with the AT3s. I only have a few miles on them but the difference was incredible and very noticeable as I drove out the installers lot. First thing i noticed was not much weight was needed during the balance of the tires. That was impressive. I wasn't expecting this but steering seemed more fluid. They gave the truck a more solid feel. I have made many tire purchases over the years but have never been this satisfied before. The whole process from purchase to install was super simple. Customer service was top notch. Happy customer.

Cooper Discoverer AT3, first off Tread Depot was awesome. The tire is everything I was hoping for. Looks great! The tire is quiet and handles well. I did notice the tire rides slightly harder but overall one of the best. Prior tires I ran have been the toyo A/T, and BFG A/T. I really like this tire great betweener.

After much research I purchased these tires. They are great! I have noticed much more traction while the vehicle is in 2wd, compared to the Firestone Destination AT that I replaced. The Destinations never had this much traction. The Firestones were a little quieter but I do not drive on highways much so it is not a concern. Also, the tires were at a great price, plus a rebate from Cooper. Used in snow 1 day since installing, performed extremely well. Got them in a couple days from Tread Depot. Another thing, they are AMERICAN MADE!!!!!!!!!

So far I am very happy with my purchase. The ride is quiet and smooth, the truck corners and stops great. Coopers sidewall design you will either like or hate, before installation I thought I wouldnt like the look on my pickup but they grow on you after the tire is on the vehicle. I would buy these tires again.

Absolutely love these tires! I run gravel and country roads as well as fields occasionally. The cooper discoverer at3 has a very versatile tread pattern that handles mud and snow effectively, while still wearing very well for highway miles. I run 10 plys, I believe they hold up the best. I usually average 55,000 to 65,000 miles on them. I could not beat the prices anywhere else, and the delivery was prompt also. I saved roughly 150-200 dollars, buying them from Tread Depot.

This is the second set of these tires I have owned. The first set lasted for 71,000 miles with out a single issue. As these tires do have an aggressive tread pattern and are mounted on a ZR2 Blazer with 4 wheel drive, I have nothing bad to say about them what so ever; great traction, and excellent wear. Tires where shipped very fast, only manufactured 17 weeks ago, excellent product, shipping service and price. Thanks Tread Depot you have gained a lifelong customer, I have steered 14 different people to your site. Too bad all companies don't deliver the same results as your company has. Thanks again.

I am running the second set of Cooper Discoverer AT3's on my 2009 Chevy Z71. I put 38,000 on the first set before letting the front end of my truck get out of line and wearing out the outside edges of the front pair. Rear tires still covered the top of Lincolns head and probably had 10K miles left on them. My son in law put them on his 1 ton Dodge and is still using them. Great highway traction on wet Louisiana highways and muddy bayou roads. Excellent grip on winter trips to the snow covered Arkansas Ozarks. I increased the size on the new tires to a 275/70/18 and they roll much smoother than the old set. Looking forward to many miles on these.

Had the tires for a few months now in the midst of winter storm Titan and the other named snow showers of 2014. The tires are probably the best in snow that I've ever owned. They also don't whine on the highway like some tires but still maintain the semi-aggressive appearance. I hope these tires are still in production in 50,000 miles because I will be wanting the same set.

The Cooper Discoverer's are a darn nice tire. Smooth ride, they balanced with very little weight and feel great on the truck. Overall I'm very impressed. After a lot of research, these guys had the best prices in an all-terrain tread tire. The tires I ordered came quickly and a billing issue with my credit card was resolved quickly(my billing address and shipping address didn't match). Top notch customer service. The tires themselves were made in the last week of December 2013, so they were "fresh". They will have my business again!

First thing's first. Price alone was why I purchased here. Even with the extra $11/tire for lifetime puncture repair, shipping AND installation, they were still over $100 less than purchasing from my local dealer/garage (I'm all for buying locally, but $100 is $100). I live in the Vail Valley in Colorado and we've had some pretty big dumps so far. The tires have performed flawlessly. Good grip in light snow as well as wet, heavy slush. Ice is ice and unless they have spikes that magically pop out, overall performance has exceeded expectations. These are great tires.

I was very happy with both the tire and this website. Tires were cheaper than I could get locally even with shipping. Order was received quickly and on the date promised via UPS. Thing that impressed me the most was the date code on the tires was less than a month old which means they hadn't been sitting in a warehouse which is great. I paid under $100 to have them mounted and balanced. They are very quiet, have great traction and look good too.

I needed new tires and discovered the Toyo price had gone up, so decided to try the Cooper Discoverer AT3 which has a similar tread pattern. I have not had them long yet am very pleased with ride and traction in all weather conditions. Will see how they wear over time yet so far so good.

I looked at every tire on multiple dealer websites. Spoke with a lot of vendors and tire shops. Everyone had a different opinion on what tire would be best for us. The same reviews I read on this site gave me some assurance that I should give these Coopers a try. I have owned a lot of tires both high end and low end, but steered clear of Cooper because I always shopped based on price, and naturally lower priced tires could never be as good as higher priced tires (Man I could have saved a lot of cash over the years if I threw that out of my mind). I also saw Cooper as a lower end brand based on national recognitions. Another thing that you have to forget. Cooper doesn't spend millions on marketing like other companies, when it comes down to it. This particular tire does the marketing for the company??? Yep. This tire gives you the treadwear similar to a Michelin, but at the price of a Tiger Paw. We have an older 4Runner with a ton of miles, so I was hesitant to buy an expensive tire. After looking into Cooper, and reading the reviews, I was still hesitant but bought them. So happy I did. The balance issues that were associated with earlier posts were dealt with by Cooper, just as an FYI. They were getting a lot of complaints and fixed this issue. There was an immediate difference between this and the older Michelin we had on the car. Granted, the Michelin's were old and had 5/32 tread left, but I have brand New BFG All Terrains on my wrangler, and they are not quite as good as these, to tell you the truth. Snow cleans of the treads very well, and it is able to bite down enough both in acceleration and braking to keep the treads planted to the street. And though the look to have an aggressive tread pattern, the sidewall is simple, so they don't look aggressive once on the car. With only about 1200-1500 miles on the tires, it was hard to give a full review, but there has been some things that are good to educate others on based on my time with them. Two recent experiences I have had with the tire that made me feel a lot better: 1: About a week before Christmas here in Ohio, we had several inches of rain. We went to a family party and took the 4Runner onto the toll-road (I-80) in extreme downpours. No issues surpassing 70 MPH speed limit, the car felt very planted and while switching lanes, there was no noticeable hydroplaning like other tires I have used. This really impressed me. 2: We have had quite a bit of snow this year compared to last, and these tires do VERY well for a mild all terrain. I can strongly say that they perform better in snow than the BFG All-terrains KO's I have on my Jeep, and severely better than the General Grabber AT2's I have on my FJ Cruiser (The Grabbers were awful). The braking in that wet sloppy snow is amazing compared to other tires I have used, especially the Michelins. The last thing to mention is the surprise I had that these tires are all terrain series vs all season or an HT tire, but they are just as quiet as the Michelin HT's we had on the 4runner before. I was very surprised that we did not pick up any more noticeable noise from the more aggressive tread. Seriously consider this tire, and don't look past it because it has a lower price than other all terrain tires. I almost did, and now have a lot of respect for Cooper.

I was concerned that the 275/70/17 size would be smaller than what I wanted as far as looks, I had 285's on prior, but they hardly look smaller, could tell a little bit in the width but not bad at all. They fill the wheel well nicely and with no rubbing. They also seem to turn in easier quite noticeably.

Tires are excellent in the snow and bad weather, all conditions exist in Minnesota that is why I chose a moderately aggressive tire. These tires are quiet and have a smooth ride I just hope they last over 50,000 miles. So far I would recommend them to anyone who drives a truck.

I've done my homework in researching and comparing many name brand tires prior to making my purchase of the (4) Cooper AT-3 (265/70R17 115T) tires for my truck. Based on all data their specs rated far better than all other name brand tires in the same type tire category for the purchase price. Even though I have only ridden on the tires for less than 2000 miles I would give them a 5-STAR rating in all categories thus far. Also worth mentioning is their snow handling ability; I live in the Laurel highlands of PA and they definitely performed incredibly well in mother natures latest winter offerings here in the PA mountains for a tire without the "snowflake" rating! I'm tired of paying high prices for the well-known names and not the performance... I will definitely purchase these tires in the future as well as to make that purchase from the TREAD DEPOT! They offer the best price and service experienced thus far for online ordering. THANKS TREAD DEPOT!

Love this tire. Highly recommend (and) for the price you can't beat it. Was going to buy BFG, which are great, figured I'd save some money. You will not be disappointed. Mainly HWY commute. Balanced perfect, still drive dead straight with hardly any signs of wear, very quiet 0 noise, and I have a soft top. Just buy them if your looking for this type of tire.

Really impressed with this tire. I was concerned about going to a 10-ply(E) rating but since I wanted to go up to the 70 series, I had no choice. Was worried they would ride rough, but they are great. Quiet, even on the highway. And out hunting last week they saw their share of mud and dirt. And there's a 55k treadwear warranty. Couldn't be happier - they even look cool.

Great customer service...answered all my questions with excellent product knowledge and customer orientation. Had the tires shipped to a local tire retailer recommended by TreadDepot. Order placed on Friday PM; arrived retailer on Tuesday. The tire retailer said the tires were manufactured only a month prior to their shipment to me. They also said the tires balanced better than other tires they sell. Finally, the tires ride very smoothly without unexpected noise. Overall, I'm very happy with the transaction process, service, and product. Overall, I think I saved around $100 by ordering the tires online. I'd recommend these guys to anyone. I do a lot of driving for work. Most is highway, however when I get off the highway it is on caliche roads in the oil field. Those that don't know about caliche, it is basically sharp rocks/sand that gets packed down to make a road. BFG's will wear out in 30-35k miles just like other brands. After 5 years and 6 sets of different tires these hold up better than anything myself or my coworkers have tried. I had 75k miles on them when I got a new set. If the truck had been aligned properly I could have gotten more.

These tires have great wet and dry on road traction. They also look great and ride good for an LT tire. It is August now and have only about 1000 miles on these tires so no winter weather experience with them. I have lost about 3/4 of a mile per gallon in fuel economy but I think it is worth it for the increase in traction; besides, most any upgrade from stock tires will do that.

I have about 1000 miles on these tires and have absolutely no complaints. I had a set of BFG AT T/A KO's and got about 40K on them with almost all Hw/city driving. The BFG tires did not stay balanced very well and wore out quicker than they should have. The Cooper Discover AT3's are an Excellent value. My gas mileage when up slightly (Hemi/4X4), the truck really handles great, quiet and is excellent in heavy rain. I saved at least 200.00 buying them here. I had the tires mounted and on my truck just 2 days after placing the order.

Cooper has done it again, the AT3 is one bad-a.. tire. It has a very aggressive tread pattern, heavy-duty weight rating, good foot-print in the snow. You won't be disappointed!! I am running these tires on my 97 Dodge Cummins Truck and I haul a 24' gooseneck low-boy equipment trailer loaded down to the tune of 14,000lb, so I need a tire like the AT3 to carry the weight and go off-road as needed. I replaced a set of Cooper ATR's that ran 52,000 miles so I'm lookin forward to seeing if these go 50,000 and I'LL be happy!!

I was nervous about the street manners when I looked at the aggressive tread pattern in person, but when you get behind the wheel they act like street tires. No noise at all, handle turns just fine and provides a very smooth ride. They look great and I feel very confident they will handle any off road situation that a 4x2 should attempt. Very satisfied with the quick shipping too.

I ordered these tires on a Friday afternoon near the close of business (after shipments had been picked up by UPS for the day). I got an email that Tuesday at 1030am saying they had been delivered to my house that morning. Great delivery time and the customer service rep I dealt with was very professional. I haven't driven on the tires much at all yet but so far the ride as smooth as my old Michelin LTX's street tires that were a size smaller. Very very little road noise as well. Cooper was very popular in these parts years ago for making quality tires at a decent price, I think they just faded off due to all the newer "pop culture" tires like Nitto's BFGs etc, so far though I would put this AT3 up against any of those. I will update again after I put some miles on them and try them in some off road situations.

I've only got 400-500 miles on the tire, but right off the bat it's a much better ride than the Pirelli Scoprions that were stock. We did get a bit of rain and these tires felt like they were stuck to the road, where as my Scorpions felt like they were skating a bit. I went from a 275/55R20 to a 275/60R20 and my mpg is every bit the same. So far, this tire has proven to be a great purchase.

Love these tires! They have performed flawlessly on road, no hydro planing on the wet freeway(unlike the stock Dunlops), in deep sand and over sharp loose rocks these tires stuck like glue! I got such a good deal from Treaddepot, that I was able to buy these tires and a new set of Procomp wheels, mounted, balanced, and shipped for $160 more than my local tire shop wanted to charge me just for the tires! I am very impressed with these tires so far. Two days after they were installed, we got 6" of snow, which is rare for our part of the country. These tires handled it with no problem whatsoever. They also handle great in good conditions as well. The only thing I have noticed is a slight hum at lower speeds (25-50 mph) that is louder than my previous tires. Of course, this is compared to the Pirelli Scorpion ATR's that I had before, which are probably the most highway oriented AT tire you can get. I can't wait to try these offroad. With the LT option, I have 16/32 of tread. Great tire for the price!

I got these tires a few weeks ago and since then south Jersey has had a few snow storms and the at3 tires performed great! Snow halfway up the tire no problem ice, no problem I think I've used 4 wheel once and that was it. I noticed too even on the icy, snowy roads there is no problem stopping. Sliding was very minimal with these tires and I am happy with them so far!

FOR AN A/T TIRE, THE COOPER IS VERY QUIET. 18000 MILES ON THE ORIGINAL SET AND THE TREAD STILL MEASURES 9/32. HAD TO BUY TWO MORE RECENTLY WHEN MY WIFE FOUND A PLOW SKID TO RUN OVER. DIDN'T HAVE THE ROAD HAZARD COVERAGE. THE TIRES ARE FANTASTIC IN RAIN AND SNOW AND LIKE I SAID, VERY QUIET ON DRY PAVEMENT. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THE GOODYEARS THAT WERE ORIGINALLY ON THE VEHICLE.

A bit noisy, but thats to be expected with the fairly aggresive tread. Experiencing some cupping on the outer edges of front tires which makes them louder. Ride is good and very stable on the highway. They look great and overall I am very happy with these tires.

I bought this tire to replace the Cooper AT I had on the truck before. It was recommended to me by my brother, and the $80 rebate and warranty made it even more attractive. I was satisfied with the performance of the original AT at the beginning. I didn't think there was anying spectacular about that tire, but it got the job done. Toward the end of its life, it had below average dry traction, poor wet traction, noisy, and a tendency to require constant steering corrections for road variations. This new AT3 seems much better right from the start. The tread pattern is very complex and appears very well thought out in design. The dry traction is considerably better than Cooper's original AT. I have not tested the limits of its wet traction just yet, but I no longer have to press the throttle gingerly to prevent wheel spin on wet pavement . Off road, this tire shines. It provides solid footing and does not appear to clog or pickup dirt or gravel as badly as other ATs I have had. Overall, I am happy to support a American company that continues to improve its product at a competitive price.

After much research of All Terrain tires I purchased a set of four. I do not have many miles yet thus the 4.5 rating. However I like the characteristics already. I purchased based on the Consumer Reports for snow and ice and the deep tread pattern with lots of siping. My winter driving consists of icy interstates and city streets. These tires are said to perform very well in mud and any other off roading conditions. I look forward to testing these tires in these elements this winter. This site provided the best price for an LT265/75-16 C rated tire at $135 per tire plus $95 Shipping to my location. The tires arrived within 3 days with no hassle. I also took advantage of Coopers $80 rebate going on through November which helped cover the shipping cost. Will post more results after winter driving experience.

Tires were as described. Fast shipping. I think they were at my door in 2 or 3 days. I believe my gas mileage has taken a minor hit versus the standard highway tires that were on the truck, but that was expected. They feel good on and off road, wet and dry, and are not noisy. Great buy for 2/3 the price of the Wranglers or other options... Overall I'm satisfied!

Very pleased with the new Cooper Discoverer AT/3 tires. First off, switching from a P rated tires to an LT tire was a vast improvement. The Coopers in the LT version feel great and handle well in all conditions while remaining comfortable and quiet. The added capabilities without sacrificing any comfort or convenience was a no brainer. The tires look good on my truck as well. My previous tires were the original BFG Rugged Trail and while they had much useable tread left they had begun to crack in between the treads due to dry rot with only 34K miles. I am enjoying the added abilities the E rated LT275/70/18 Coopers are providing.

These tires so far are performing very well quiet, good traction on sand and mud. Mileage the same as the Generals that the OEM had installed. The performance is much better than the General tires. I gave these tires a 4.5 and this is high for an opinion at this time in this tires life (at 2500 miles). My life depends on these tires at the speeds they travel the highway at. I will rate these tires when they get to 20k by then I will have a better opinion of them . This tire is as advertised.

For the price you can't beat quality and the life of these tires. Any AT tire will make road noise but this is one of the quieter ones. Good traction and control on wet or dry and does pretty good in snow. With 4x4 have never been struck or able to go. Never had a problem due to the design or workmanship of tire. O.E.M. tires were goodyear wranglers and got 44,000 miles out of them. My first set of ATS got 60,000 miles and current set has 62,000 miles and needs to be replaced in the next 2 months. The bad thing about oversizing AT3 tires is it will reduce fuel mileage. Went from 18 mpg to 16mpg.

Bought these tires for the snow traction ..so far driven thru three storms with snow and one morning commute with light ice and I must say I am quite satisfied with these tires! Had cooper zeon ltz on truck before these they were great for everything, but snow was like driving on snowballs the tread wont clean out...no good for winter ...never again! The at3 seems like it holds the road better and they clean out nice in the sticky stuff! My truck handles like a truck again! No road noise noticed..but noticed they hold a rock or two but I feel that's pretty normal for any all terrain tire. In closing thank you for saving me 75 bucks a tire compared to my local store and for the quick shipping..4 days ..I highly recommend !

Have only driven on these tires for a few hundred miles, so its early yet. Main comment - pretty quiet. Replaced a set of Michilins non-ATs, so I knew I might experience some noise by going with an AT, especailly these with the aggressive tread design (which looks really good). Included some highway driving up to 75-80 MPH and am pleased. Many reviewed these tires as quiet, and I agree - its suprising actually. There is a slight bit of noise -they are ATs after all, but not annoying at all - and I am very picky about tire noise. Will see how their tread life does in due time. Was tired of getting only 40,000 miles out of expenseive Michilins, plus I was ready to get back to a good looking AT tire. Rarely go off-road, but aZ-71 Suburban just doesnt look right with non-ATs. So far, satisfied with ride, noise and looks. Will likely put a set on our 1993 Z-71 pickup when the time comes.

Did plenty of research and narrowed it to the Discoverer A/T3 and the Toyo OC AT2. The price here on the Coopers was outstanding and the $80 rebate sold it. Tires are quieter than my wife's Michelins on her Pilot by a wide margin. They have been great in the rain and in city/highway driving. Went to a larger tire than stock and LR E 10ply. Calculating I only lost about 1 MPG from 19.8 ave to about 18.7 ave. Very pleased with performance. Only didn't go 5 star rating as I haven't taken them offroad or in snow yet. Should perform very well. Will update if they don't. No issues with balancing like some noted. Great tire and TD got them to me in 3 days.

I bought these tires right after I bought my truck. Like any other purchase I make, I always do my homework. I research my options and choose the product with the best reputation for the money. Unfortuneately, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 was fairly new when I bought them and there was not a lot of data out there. The reason why I ended up buying them is because I have always had good luck with Cooper tires. After running these tires I am very cautious to buy another Cooper product. I got the tires in the fall. They seemed great at first. Tires were quiet for a non highway tire. They went through light off road travel while putting out tree stands. When getting into "mud" (3 inches) they would not get clogged and turn into slicks faster than I could believe. Snow started to fall, good traction in 4x4 but would break loose fairly easy under light accelleration. Not a good winter tire. They do handle rain fairly well, even when they are down to the wear bars now. I am not impressed with the tread life at all. I had my tires balanced and rotated every 6200 miles. I always maintained proper air pressure. I did everything right and fell almoust 23000 miles short on treadlife. Make sure if you buy them that you have al the maintenance documented or the warranty is invalid. Cooper did not stand behind my tires.

Good grip in the snow, mud and wet conditions, however me, my best friend and my father have the same tire in 3 different sizes and after 30k miles the outsides of the tires give a lot of problems and they are very maintained and suspension in all 3 vehicles are in excellent shape. 3 sets of tires in different sizes giving the same problems after the same mileage disappoints my opinion of cooper tires.

Had them mounted n balance. They rode rough so figured they weren't balanced good. A week later went to get rebalanced elsewhere. The tire guy told me these tires had some hop to them. Also a heavy spot on them too. Anyways he did a great job rebalancing them, now they ride a lot smoother. If they weren't defected maybe they would ride a lot better.

I read all the reviews I could find and passed up on Michelin LTX2 and Firestone Destination AT for these Coopers. Made in USA, very good price, made sense to me. I will say they look fantastic, and seem to have pretty reasonable traction in snow (its been VERY snowy up here of late). The problem is they are just too noisy at all speeds and tend to wander off center compared to tires I've used prior (General Grabbers, Michelin LTX, Firestone Desinations, Goodyear Wranglers and Bridgestone Duelers). I am not new to AT tires and understand the trade offs. My expectations are reasonable considering my past experiences. My truck has been professionally sound deadened and the front end is in top notch condition. I had hoped they would break in slightly and rotated them every way possible until finally, outside the trial period, the shop agreed its the tires. I hope this review helps someone out and if I could do it over, I'd go with the Firestone Destination ATs or the LE2s (if you want a less aggressive tire).

Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from on these tires, but I can't say a lot good about them. The good: They look decent and drive good on paved roads with minimal noise. They did wear well (evenly). The bad: After 25K, I am looking for new tires (might get 30K) - no where near their 55K boasting. Also not very good in snow - snowing conditions on paved roads is ok; off road not worth a lick (I got stuck on the edge of my driveway!)
