Why is it that OEM's select odd sizes, limiting your choices when selecting your tires?? :-) Well anyway, I decided to get slighly wider and taller tires for my Mazda 2. The results: Great looks, better curb protection, and better tire compared to those I had to choose if trying to replace my OEM 185/55R15. This is a directional tire. Make sure that the installer realizes this and gets them installed correctly. Futher, this tire has both the red and yellow dots. In most cases, you'll want your installer to align the tire so that the yellow dot is lined up with the valve stem. This is easy to do on one side, but on the other, due to the fact that the tire is directional and they only put the dots on one side of the tire, is a little more difficult to do on the other side. This is because the yellow dots end up on the inside of the wheel instead of on the outside. Rain performance is excellent, snow performance better than OEM, and about the same compared to OEM on ice. The ABS/Traction control on many light cars leaves a lot to be desired. I personally disconnect my ABS/Traction control on my Mazda 2 during snow storms by pulling the Traction control fuse which leaves both traction control and ABS disabled. Of course YMMV, and do this at your own risk.

Picked these up, and impressed so far. I was afraid my mileage would suffer but it has improved (compared to) the old Bridgestones I had before. Ride is smooth and tire noise is minimal. For the money this tire is an outstanding buy.

Bought these for my daughters car to replace the worn out Bridgestones. The Kumhos have been a huge improvement on ride and traction so far after 1000miles. She says they are working much better than the previous tires on snow and ice. Great looking tire with deep treads. Great value / great price from this website. Saved a lot of money vs any decent tire I could find locally.

I ordered these tires to replace a leaky set of Coopers on my Subaru. These tires are worlds better. They are quieter and have much better traction. I live in the north east and we have been having a very snowy winter. These tires have been incredible in the snow. My car is all wheel drive so that does help but these are much better than the Coopers which were not worn out when I replaced them. They handle pretty well as I am an aggressive driver and seem to do great in the wet conditions that we have had the last few days with all the snow melting. While these tires are manufactured in China they are backed by Kumho's name and warranty. I am very glad I purchased them. They balanced pretty easily and come with markings for valve stem location.

Hard to write about tire performance history when you just bought them a few weeks ago. Anyway, the tire has a lot going for it in theory. The rubber compound and tire wear rating indicate that the tire should get from 40,000 to 60,000 miles depending on driving habits, road/weather conditions, and highway vs. city driving. Guess I will see. I like that the tread is a little bit "zig zagged"... which from experience usually provides the best balance of tread life and all-season traction. Ride is good. Sound rating so far is normal. For what the tire is ranked it is quite inexpensive. Now... will it live up to the rankings? To be continued......

I have not had them on long, but other than a little noisy, I am very satisfied with them. The "bang for the buck" is a great value. The disadvantage is noise, and that they are directional, so in my application (staggered), they can not be rotated. I can say I will most likely purchase them again, as long as they wear as well as they perform.

Very impressed with this new tire from Kuhmo, it works beautifully well in all conditions so far! I have driven in serious rain and snow conditions here in NJ this winter, great handling in everything. This tire has instilled a lot of confidence in typically scary snow conditions and has blown me away with great stability through puddled water rather than hydroplaning! Good road manners too, comfort and noise level are very acceptable, better than I anticipated for the great low price that I paid! Love 'em and highly recommend 'em!

I love new tires on a car. I researched the **** out of tires before buying, I decided on these. New Model, rated well but not many ratings. These tires are so much better than the original Hankooks which certainly lasted well. I have the best car in the snow that you can have. the confidence in the grip in wet and snowy weather is amazing. On dry, they are quieter, smoother and handle great. Only 2k miles on them, hopefully they stay this way for 40k miles. Sidewalls not that attractive compared to the Hankooks, that's the only SLIGHT negative. These tires are awesome and a great value. Great not just for the price. They are great versus any competition in this tire class IMO. This is the only place to buy too!

Needed a tire that would perform decently and not break the bank. So far, I've been very happy with my purchase of these Kumhos. I replaced Continental DWS, which I liked, but were more pricey. Compared to those, these are quieter and seem to be a wash in terms of fuel use. Handling is very good, but I did have to play with pressures to get the response piece right. These have done really well in the colder weather we've been having lately as well. So far, a good buy.

I really like the tires handling. The wet traction is superior to any tire I have had before. The one issue that I have is that my MPG went from 34 to 30 on average and my all highway MPG went from 38 to 32. I am hoping that this will improve as the tires break in.

I have put about 1,500 miles on these tires. They have see snow and rain and have done very well for an all season tire. The only reason I gave only 4 stars, is at speed (70-80 mph) they tend to wander a bit and not track a straight as I would like. This could be attributed to slightly lower air pressure setting from the install process. I will raise the pressures a few pounds and see how they react. I suspect it will be for the better. To sum up, I feel these tires are very good for their price point, they do most everything well, but nothing great. I would buy again if the mileage pans out.

I gave this tire a 4.0 rating because they are pretty good, and I'm satisfied. In my opinion, the best tires I have had on my vehicle were the Continental Extreme Contact DWS, which is what I had on my car before the Kumho tires. I went with Kumho because of the reviews and their overall tire ratings and I was sold on the price. Like I said, I'm satisfied, but I will probably go back to my Continental Extreme Contacts DWS, when I'm tire shopping again.
